Rxcentric 敲进 Medem 医生网络
NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Online pharmaceutical marketing firm RxCentric Inc. has entered a revenue-sharing agreement with Medem Inc. to offer its detailing and continuing medical education (CME) programs to 70,000 physicians registered with Medem.
Medem, an e-health network created last year, will receive a percentage of revenues from all RxCentric sales that originate at Medem sites. Further financial details were not disclosed.
, 百拇医药 Medem was founded by eight medical organizations, including the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Psychiatric Association and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Since then, the network has expanded to include the medical societies of 24 states by offering customizable practice Web sites and secure patient-physician communication systems.
RxCentric President and CEO Richard Findlay told Reuters Health the alliance increases the reach of RxCentric into the captive physician community.

"These physicians will have a need to go back and visit the pages of their respective medical societies," said Findlay. "Unlike Medscape, which is more of a public service, this [alliance] has the potential to be stickier because physicians will return to their association sites for some prospective information."
In June, RxCentric entered a similar revenue-sharing agreement with Medscape. With the Medem alliance, RxCentric now claims that it can access 350,000 physicians through various marketing initiatives.

Findlay said that RxCentric was investigating if there was any overlap between the 70,000 physicians registered with Medem and the company's own base of 27,000 registered physicians. He also said that Medem expects to add more state medical societies to its networks before the end of the year.
"RxCentric is a very innovative company that is providing physicians with a wide range of meaningful educational products and services," said Medem CEO Dr. Edward Fotsch, in a statement. "We look forward to working with them to expand the services and resources on our Network."

Under the terms of the agreement, Medem will provide its members with online notification of programs. It also will link physicians directly from Practice View, Medem's single point of access to services, to RxCentric's RxSpotlight page. At RxSpotlight, physicians can choose to participate in appropriate online programs based on their practice specialty.
Last month, RxCentric partnered with MarketRing.com Inc. to create a new marketing and disease management offering tailored for major pharmaceutical companies. MarketRing.com's core network is comprised of OB/Gyn physicians.
Findlay said that RxCentric's ongoing pharmaceutical marketing initiatives will be integrated into the Medem site within 30 days., 百拇医药
