Abstract
AIM: To investigate the polymorphisms of tumor necrosis factor-α-308G/A (TNF-α-308G/A) and its association with susceptibility to Kazakh esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) in Xinjiang.
METHODS: TNF-α-308G/A genotypes were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) in 212 paraffin-embedded tissues from Kazakh patients with ESCC and 200 blood samples from a population of cancer-free controls resident in the same area ......
