国内外也有文献报道溃结时发生神经系统的并发症，如脑卒中、末稍神经炎等。
4.3 肠道菌群功能改变：溃结本身，或在治疗(抗生素、水杨酸盐及手术等)后，肠内菌群代谢及分布均发生改变。菌群紊乱发生率可达3.6%(21)，且在药物与手术(尤其是回肠造口术)治疗组中更为明显。为此，护生素(probiotics)类生物制剂在溃结治疗中的地位正在进一步认识中。
4.4溃结与妊娠：孕期及分娩后结肠炎可能加重，约有10%孕妇因此而发生流产。因此，这些患者的检查(包括内镜)与治疗均应慎重。一般，皮质类固醇仍可适用；SASP尚未见对胎儿有不良反应的报道。甲硝唑应避免应用，因其可能有致癌与致畸胎瘤作用；氨苄表霉素与头孢菌素在孕期使用一般是安全的(12)。
