Effects of sequential external counter pulsation on hepatic blood flow in dogs

Abstract
AIM To measure the blood flow of common hepatic artery and superior mesenteric vein in dogs treated with external counter pulsation(ECP).
METHODS Fifteen dogs were randomly allocated into two groups, 1 2 dogs with ECP and 3 without ECP as control. The blood flow in common hepatic artery and superior mesenteric vein was measured before experiment, in 30 and 60 minutes with ECP and 30 minutes after ECP, and in control group without ECP as well. ......
