Abstract
AIM To study the relationship between human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and the development of gastric carcinoma (GC).
METHODS Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method with specific primers of HPV16E6 and HPV18E6/E7 was used to detect HPV DNA in 37 fresh GC and 20 fresh normal gastric mucosa adjacent to tumor (NGMAT). ......
