    Abstract

    AIM:The induction of transcription factor NF-κB modulates the expression of multiple genes in immunal and inflammatory reations Ulcerative colitis (UC) exists abnormal activation of epithelial cells, lymphocytes and macrophages and uncontrolled cytokine production. The authors examined the expression and distribution of NF-κB, p65, COX-2 and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), of the latter two having NF-κB binding sites in their promoters, to investigate the significance of them in the pathogenesis of UC and the relationship between them. ......
