    AbstractAIM: To explore the relationship between matrix metallopro-teinase andmalignant ascites.

    METHODS:A total of 67 patients, 38 male and29 female, including cirrhotic ascites (36 cases), tuberculous ascites (8cases) and malignant ascites (23 cases) were collected and studied in thefollowing experiment. The matrix metallopro-teinase activity was detectedby gelatin zymography. ......
