【摘要】 目的 了解广东湛江地区产前检查人群中的地中海贫血的检出情况，探讨婚检、产检中检查地中海贫血的意义。方法 用血细胞计数仪测定患者的血常规，用醋酸纤维薄膜电泳检测血红蛋白A及A 2 的含量，确定患者地中海贫血的分型。结果 在2764例产检病人中，地贫患者共339例，占总产检人数的12.3%;在1255对产检夫妇中，同为地贫患者的共35对，占总产检人数的27.9‰。结论 婚前检查、产前检查十分重要，对杜绝重度地中海贫血儿童(简称“地贫儿”)的出生，提高人口素质意义重大。
