    【Abstract】 Objective To investigate multiorgan damage in acute brain infarction and the effect of prevention and treatment by acupuncture.Methods One lateral MCAO(middle cerebral artery occlussion)rats as studying model，and“Xing Nao Kai Qiao”(XNKQ，activating brain and opening orifices)acupuncture as treatment method，the optical and electron-microscopes were used to investigate the morphological changes of heart，lung，stomach，liver and kidney at24 th hour after creating models，and the role of acupuncture on their changes was observed.Results Differˉent degree changes of pathology and morphology in celluar and subcelluar locations were observed in heart，lung，stomˉach，liver and kidney of the model group.The pathological and morphological changes of liver were mild.There was a mild or little change in the group of acupuncture.Conclusion More than one important organ is damaged in different degree after brain infarction.Acupuncture can prevent and cure the damages. ......
