【摘要】 目的 对外伤性急性脑肿胀的发病机制、诊断和治疗做一探讨。方法 回顾分析我院2000年5月～2004年4月确诊的23例外伤性脑肿胀的资料，结合文献资料进行分析。结果 23例急性脑肿胀患者治愈5例，致残6例，死亡12例。结论 急性外伤性脑肿胀的发病机制是由于外伤性的急性脑血管扩张，广泛性脑水肿和脑缺血之间相互作用所致。治疗包括:手术治疗、脱水治疗、大剂量激素治疗、冬眠低温疗法等。
