    【Abstract】 Objective To study and evaluate the method and clinical results of pedicle screw reduction and fixaˉtion in the threatment of thoracolumbar fracture.Methods From October2001，to Nowember2003，33cases of thoraˉcolumbar fracture were treated with reduction and posterior decompressing and bone grafting and pedicle screw fixation(Steffee7cases，RF5cases，AF21cases).Then we observed the never function recovery and fracture union.Results 33cases all was followed-up for8to25months，1to3degree recovery of never function were achieved in all accept2cases with Frankel A damaged.Complete union of fracture were observed in thirty cases，the orther three cases failed with fixation problems and unsatisfactory reduction.Conclusion Thoracolumbar fracture and dislocation can be reduced and decompressed and recuperate stability by Pedicle screw fixation of short segments with satisfactory clinical results and relatively high fusion rate. ......
