【摘要】 中医临床辨证论治，讲究“理、法、方、药一线贯连”。也就是说，从理论到治疗原则，再到方剂和药物，是一环扣一环，一贯到底的。西医临床医疗实践活动，从临床思维到临床诊断、治疗，也无一不是在基础理论指导下进行的。中西医理论上不结合，中西医其它一切方面就不能科学地走到一块。中西医学的研究方法与思路虽然存在分歧，但研究的目的是一致的:如何增强和维护人体的健康，以及如何减少和战胜疾病，使人类能够健康长寿。这是所有医学存在的目的和价值，也正是中西医有可能找到理论结合点的依据。
