Determination of cinnarizine injection by HPLC

Abstract:Objective To establish an HPLC method for determination of cinnarizine injections. Methods A C18 column(Diamonsil 250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm ) was used to analyze cinnarizine. The mobile phase consisted of Methanol-0.2%triethanol amine-triethylamine(85:15:0.03)and pH6.5 adjusted by phosphoric acid. The flow rate was set to 1.0 mL·min-1. An UV detector with maximum wavelength 253 nm were adopted. Results The average recovery of 99.67% was obtained with a RSD of 0.63%(n=9). The linear range for cinnarizine was 6~14 mg·L-1 with the regression coefficient of 0.999 8. Conclusion Data obtained suggests that it is a simple and accurate method of assay for cinnarizine injections.
