【摘要】 癌症为人类头号杀手，每年死亡人数愈一千三百万人。中医学对癌症很早已有一定的认识，本病的发病原因复杂，但其致病因素可大致归纳为四类:情志郁结、脏腑失调、饮食不节、外感六淫。中医在治疗上主张“谨察阴阳所在而调之，以平为期”。内文详述中医药治疗恶性肿瘤的主要方法，并阐述其如何配合手术治疗、放射治疗和化学治疗，减轻治疗过程中产生的不适与毒副反应，同时亦介绍一些对放化疗有增效作用的中药。此外，对中国传统治疗癌症的食疗和药膳也有所推介。本文旨在介绍中医药在癌症病人的治疗与调理上的卓越成效，冀望能进一步促进中西医结合治疗癌症的发展，以更包容的态度，在现代医学基础上融入传统医学的优点，从而更有效地攻克癌肿，延长病人的存活期并改善其生存质量。
