    Abstract:AIM To know the relationship between QT dis-persion and heart rate variability in patients with myocardial infarction.METHODS QT dispersion and heart rate vari-ability measured by12lead surface electrocardiograms and24h ambulatory electrocardiographic monitoring in38pa-tients with acute myocardial infarction and in35healthy con-trol were analysed retro-spectively by unpaired t-test.The correlation analysis was performed between QT dispersion and heart rate variability.RESULTS There was significant-ly correlation between QT dispersion and heart rate variabili-ty in patients with myocardial infarction(r=-0.49;P<0.01;n=38).QT dispersion and heart rate variability were significantly different between the groups of myocardial in-farction and healthy control subjects.CONCLUSION QT dispersion and heart rate variability is significantly correlat-ed，which has great clinically predicting value for myocardial infarction.
