Chinese Physician's Association (CPA) convoked a working seminar of the CPA recently. Representatives from 26 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government and the related structures of the sub-provincial municipalities attended the meeting. An ardent discussion was outspread among the delegations on the topics of the principles to be followed in the establishment of the provincial physician's association (PPA), the relationship in between the CPA and PPA and the issues of membership development and supervision;the following consensus was achieved:

The physician's associations of the sub-provincial municipalities should at first join the PPA as a CM and then apply for the CM of the CPA.
