The construction of "211 engineering", Medical School of Peking University passed state inspection recently; the first period task of "211 engineering" construction was successfully completed.
On the 24th January 1997, as the first portion of "211 engineering" assigned to the Medical School of Peking University started construction during the "9th 5-year plan" period. After hard working for 5 years, the expected target of the total construction of "211 engineering" was realized; thus enabled the improvement of conditions in teaching, scientific research, clinical treatment and fundamental service. The fostering of personnel, department construction, scientific research, clinical service and the total level of scientific administration etc. are continuously preceding among the medical schools throughout the country. The medical school of Peking University has become one of the important bases for fostering medical pharmaceutical personnel, scientific research and medical care.
