【Abstract】 AIM: To investigate growth of rabbit bone marrow stromal cells (BMSC) adhesion to the cementum slices in vitro. METHODS: BMSC of rabbits were isolated and cultured in vitro and then cocultured with the cementum slices. Cell adhesion at different times was analyzed by reverse phase difference microscope and scanning electro microscope. RESULTS: BMSC were well adhered to the cementum slices and the cells on the cementum slices exhibited a cementumlike and mineralized appearance. CONCLUSION: BMSC can well adhere to and proliferate on the cementum slices and they can form a new type of mineralized tissue.
