    Abstract OBJECTIVE To probe into the reason that the blood of the blood discarding gratis.METHODS To do the retrospective covariance and analyse for the reason that the blood of the blood discarding in Yangzhou in 2003～2004.RESULTS There are 23258 of blood totally, discarding 804 of the blood,having 3.46%. Mobilize to dedicate 15519 of the blood discarding 421,discarding rate 2.71%.The street wishes dedicates 7739 of the blood discarding 383,discarding rate 4.95%.The two above show the very difference:χ2=77.7,P<0.01.399 of the ALT masculine,have to the discarding,the rate 1.72%;152 of fat blood,have 0.65%;overdue 89 of the blood,have 0.38%,HbsAg 73 examples,have 0.31%.CONCLUSION To reduce the blood waste,we can strenghen the education before the blood publicize and enhance the blood management. ......
