【Abstract】 AIM: To observe the effects of antisense oligouncleotide for cmyc on rat airway smooth muscle cell cycle. METHODS: Rat airway smooth muscle cells were primarily cultured and lipofectin was used to introduce antisense oligonucleotide, sense oligonucleotide and mismatched oligonucleotide for cmyc into rat airway smooth muscle cells. Cell cycles were measured by flow cytometry and the expression of cyclin D1 and cyclin E was detected immunohistochemically. RESULTS: Antisense oligonucleotide for cmyc inhibited rat airway smooth muscle cells through S phase. Sense and mismatched oligonucleotides exerted no effect on cell cycles. Antisense oligonucleotide for cmyc decreased the expression of cyclin D1 and cyclin E. CONCLUSION: Antisense oligonucleotides for cmyc inhibit rat airway smooth muscle cells through S phase and decrease the expression of cyclin D1 and cyclin E. ......
