【Abstract】 AIM: To establish a 3D finiteelement model of human mandibular molars. METHODS: A 3D finite element model of human mandibular molars,〖〗567, and their supporting tissues was established by means of SCT scanning, image processing software and finite element analyzing program. RESULTS: A 3D finite element model of 〖〗567, including enamel, dentin, cementum, cortical bone, sponge bone, pulp and mucosa was established. The stress analysis showed that it was consistent to that observed in clinical practice. CONCLUSIONS: To establish models by finiteelement method is simple, effective, safe and reliable.
