Protective effects of stronger neoª²minophagen C on liver in patients treated by transª²catheter arterial chemoembolization

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To observe the protective effects of stronger neoª²minophagen C (SNMC) on liver function during transª²catheter arterial chemoembolization (TCAC). METHODS: SNMC was given to 20 patients the day when they received TCAC and 18 patients were taken as control. RESULTS: The liver function remained unchanged before and after TCAC in treatment group. But in the control group, the BIL elevated 3 d after TCAC and restored to normal 2 weeks later; ALT and AST increased 3 d and 7 d after TCAC and restored to normal 2 weeks later. Alb decreased 7 d after TCAC and increased 2 weeks after, but did not restore to the normal level. CONCLUSION: SNMC can protect hepatocytes from damage and improve the tolerance of liver to TCAC. ......
