     Electromyographic feedback therapy for mental subhealth in military medical university students

    【Abstract】 AIM: To intervene the mental subhealth in military medical university students by using electromyographic feedback therapy and to study the effect of the therapy. METHODS: Using the Cornell Medical Index (CMI) and psychiatric interlocution to screen those with mental subhealth from 412 students from a military medical university. Electromyographic feedback therapy was used to intervene the screened out subjects. Physiological value, anxiety and depression grade, sleeping quality were used as criteria to study the effect of the therapy. RESULTS: ① 182% medical university students were with mental subhealth. ② Electromyographic feedback effectively improved the physiological and mental status of mental subhealth students (P<005). ③ Significant correlation was found between the myoelectricity decrease rate and SAS score (P<005). CONCLUSION: Electromyographic feedback can effectively improve the physiological and mental status of those with mental subhealth. ......
