【Abstract】 AIM: To examine the suitable depth and the element composition of the reaction layer of the Tiporcelain. METHODS: Electron probe quantitative and position microanalysis was used to measure the depth and element composition of the reaction layer of the Tiporcelain. RESULTS: The molefraction of titanium declined from 87.92% to 0.65% and the depth of the reaction layer was about 6 μm. A twolayer structure was composed of solid αTi[o] solution and an oxosilicide, each with the depth of about 3 μm. CONCLUSION: The depth of 3 μm is proper for solid αTi[o] solution and an oxosilicide. The ratio of Ti/O is about 1/1, suggesting that the phase of titanium is probably mainly made up of oxide TiO. ......
