     Detection of SENV DNA in sera by dot blot

    【Abstract】 AIM: To explore the availability of dotblot assay in the detection of SEN virus infection. METHODS: Nuclear acid was extracted from serum specimens, and dotblot analysis and polymerase chain reaction(PCR) were carried out respectively to detect SENV DNA. RESULTS: Among 191 samples, 6 were found positive by dotblot, and 11 were found positive by PCR. CONCLUSION: The probe prepared by us is SENVspecific. Dotblot hybridization with DIGlabeled SENV DNA probe can be used to detect SENV DNA in sera samples.
