【Abstract】 AIM: To establish qualitative and quantitative analysis methods of 7, 4′bihydroxylisoflavone3′sulfonate. METHODS: Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and fluorescence spectrum were used to analyze sodium 7, 4′dihydroxylisoflavone3′sulfonate. RESULTS: The 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectra of the title compound were reported for the first time. The new method of determination of sodium 7, 4′bihydroxylisoflavone3′sulfonate was established. Sodium 7, 4′bihydroxylisoflavone3′sulfonate had a strong fluorescence on the solution (pH = 9.00±0.02) with the max wavelength of λ = 310 nm and λ = 480 nm. The linear range and the detection limit of the method were 0-3.5 mg/L (r=0.9995) and 30 μg/L, respectively. The 1H NMR, 13C NMR and fluorescence spectrum offered a foundation for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of sodium 7, 4′bihydroxylisoflavone3′sulfonate. CONCLUSION: The 1H NMR and 13C NMR method, precise and economical using D2O as solvent, can be used to analyze sodium 7, 4′bihydroxylisoflavone3′sulfonate qualitatively and the method is economic. The fluorescence method, specific, simple, precise and sensitive, can be used to analyze the title compound quantitatively. ......
