    【Abstract】 AIM: To design a simple and reliable swivel device for rat intravenous transfusion. METHODS: Clinical staples such as heparin cap and syringe were used to design a swivel intravenous transfusion device which was applied in 40 recipient rats of intestinal transplantation. The effect of maintaining longterm intravenous transfusion and free movement in rats was observed for the reliability and practicability of this device. RESULTS: During the whole test process, 34 postintestinal transplantation rats went through the intravenous transfusion successfully by the device and endured the maximum time of 38 d without falloff, intertwist and wallup. CONCLUSION: The newlydesigned swivel intravenous transfusion device, with easily obtaining materials and simple making, can meet the need of rat vein transfusion within about 1 month. ......
