【Abstract】 AIM: To study the effect of PDGFAB on the contraction of human normal skin and hypertrophic scar fibroblastpopulated collagen lattice and to investigate the mechanism by which PDGFAB promotes wound healing and the effect of PDGFAB in scar forming. METHODS: In vitro cultured human normal skin and hypertrophic scar fibroblasts (NsFb, HTsFb) were applied to measure the effect of PDGFAB on the contraction of FPLC. RESULTS: PDGFAB increased the contraction of NsFb and HTsFbpopulated collagen lattice in a dose dependent manner, but it had stronger effects on HTsFbpopulated collagen lattice. CONCLUSION: PDGFAB may promote wound healing by stimulating the wound contraction, and PDGFAB may also play some important roles in scar contracture. ......
