Comparison of personality traits of the British and Chinese undergraduates on the 15FQ+

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To assess the differences in personality traits between British and Chinese undergraduates with 15FQ+.METHODS: The undergraduates from Britain (n=157) and China mainland (n=159) were recruited to complete the 15FQ+ questionnaire,and British and Chinese undergraduates¬ð scores on the personality traits were compared. RESULTS: Except factor fI,there was no significant difference on the other 15 factors of 15FQ+ between CET 4 and CET 6 groups of Chinese undergraduate.There was significant difference on the 12 of the 16 factors of the 15FQ+.The differences showed that the British undergraduates were prone to extroversion,low anxiety,openness and independence,and the Chinese undergraduates were prone to introversion,high anxiety,pragmatism and high selfª²control.CONCLUSION: The 15FQ+ is a universal questionnaire with preferable validity for the personality traits.It can be extensively used in China. ......
