Expression and significance of AT1 and AT2 in human small pulmonary vascular wall of pulmonary hypertension

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To observe the expression of angiotensin ¢ò type 1 receptor (AT1) and angiotensin ¢ò type 2 receptor (AT2) in pulmonary vascular wall in different groups of patients with ventricular septal defect combined with different degree of pulmonary hypertension and to study the correlation between the expression and pulmonary hypertension. METHODS: The specimens were combined by AT1 and AT2 polyclonal antibody,dyed by ElivisionTM plus immunohistochemical technique and measured with light density.RESULTS: The light density of AT1 and AT2 in the small pulmonary arteries had significant statistical difference between groups(P<0ª±01),but no statistical difference was found in small pulmonary veins between groups(P>0ª±05).The relation between the light density of AT1 and AT2 in the small pulmonary arteries and the pressure of pulmonary artery was positively correlated (r=0ª±954, r£½0ª±826).CONCLUSION: AT1 and AT2 may be involved in the development of pulmonary hypertension. ......
