Conceiving and analyzing average cost of single eye senile cataract -operationXiaojing Wang,Shijun Zhu
Abstract According to one-year cost and income of ophthalmologic department and total charges of senile cataract inpatients, the author dedicated to establish an cost model of single-eye senile cataract operation. Under the premise of reasonable treatment, controlling each section of medical treatment would reduce average cost of disease and increase department's income. Drugs and materials consumption are the major parts of inpatients' total charges. Therefore, it is the key point that reasonably lowering the portion of drugs and materials against total charges of patients in order to control medical expense. Case-based reimbursement and DRGs-PPS actually should be explored actively to meet the conditions in China.
