Abstract
AIM: To observe the efficacy of Chinese herbs Tongfu Xiere Fang in the treatment of acute perforated peptic ulcer complicated with sepsis.
METHODS: Based on the routine surgical operation and application of antibiotics (n = 44), Chinese herbs Tongfu Xiere Fang were used in 23 patients with acute perforated peptic ulcer complicated with sepsis, and the rest (n = 21) served as controls.
RESULTS: In comparison with those of the controls, the incidence rate of complications in the Chinese herbs group was significantly decreased (Intestinal obstruction: 5/23 vs 11/21, P < 0 ......
