    AbstractAIM:To explore the effects of oxidative stress on the proliferation of rat hepatic stellate cells and the antioxidation of reduced glutathione.

    METHODS:Rat hepatic stellate cells were incubated with different concentrations of ferric nitrilotriacetic acid (Fe-NTa). With 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphennylterazolium bromide (MTT) colorimetric assay, the effects of Fe-NTa on the proliferation of hepatic stellate cells at 6, 12, 24 and 48 h was detected, and malondialdehyde (MDA) contents and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity were also detected ......
