【Abstract】 AIM: To discuss the expressions of the apoptosisrelated oncogenes Fas, Bcl2, Bax and p53 in lung cancer tissues and their significance, in order to provide the theoretical basis for the molecular biological study. METHODS: The expressions of p53, Bcl2, Bax and Fas proteins in 57 cases of lung cancer were detected by the immunohistochemical technique and TUNEL. RESULTS: The expression rates of Bcl2, p53, Bax, Fas proteins in lung cancer tissues were 33%, 69%,70% and 28%, respectively,and the expression rate of each apoptosisrelated oncogene was different in lung cancer tissues of the different pathologic types. There was no definite relationship between the lymph node metastasis and the apoptosisrelated oncogenes(P<0.05). With the rising of the pathologic staging of the tumor , the expressions of p53 and Fas proteins increased, while the expression of Bcl2 decreased. There seemed to be no definite relationship between the expression of Bax protein and the pathological staging(P<0.05).CONCLUSION: There are the apoptosisrelated oncogene expressions in lung cancer tissues, and their expression degree is related with their pathological types. The overexpressions of p53 and Fas proteins may be associated with the bad prognosis of lung cancer. ......
