     Expression of early muscle specific mRNA in bone marrow stem cells

    【Abstract】 AIM: To study the expression of early muscle specific mRNA in bone marrow stem cells. METHODS: The expression of early muscle specific mRNA, including MyoD, Myf5, myogenin, MRF4 and desmin, in bone marrow stem cells of C57 mice of different phases and SD rats of different generations was detected by reverse transcriptasepolymerase chain reaction (RTPCR). RESULTS: In different cultured phases (day 0,2,7) of C57 mouse bone marrow stem cells, RTPCR analysis showed the presence of Myf5 and desmin, whereas MyoD, myogenin and MRF4 were not detected. In different generations (from the primary to the 6th generation) of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, MyoD and desmin were detected, whereas myogenin and MRF4 were not detected by RTPCR analysis. CONCLUSION: Bone marrow stem cells can express early muscle specific mRNA to some extent. ......
