【Abstract】 AIM: To observe the elongation of regional time to compression/expansion crossover(Tcec) of left ventricle (LV) compared with LV global time to compression/expansion crossover (Tcec) detected by curved Mmode strain rate imaging(CMMSRI), and to estimate the value of elongation in the diagnosis of myocardial ischemia in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD). METHODS: Sixty CHD patients(CHD group) and 60 normal cases(control group) were examined. CMMSRI was used to detect Tcec of each segment of LV. Time by which Tcec exceeded Tcec was termed as ΔTcec. Coronary arteriography was used to define ischemic segments. The difference of ΔTcec among ischemic segments, nonischemic segments of CHD group and control group was observed. The breakpoint of myocardial ischemia was remarked and the sensitivity and specificity were calculated. RESULTS: Tcec was prolonged in ischemic segments. And the red/blue crossover borderline of CMMSRI appeared to be an irregularly curve. Using ΔTcec≥50 ms as criterion, the sensitivity and specificity of diagnosis of myocardial ischemia were 77.6% and 80.0%, respectively. CONCLUSION: Tcec elongation detected by CMMSRI can be used to diagnose myocardial ischemia of CHD directly, conveniently and noninvasively. The clinical application value is commendable. ......
