【摘要】肿瘤的生长和转移需要新生血管的支持，内皮细胞(ECs)是构成肿瘤新生血管的主要部分，因而在肿瘤生长过程中扮演重要角色。肿瘤在生长过程中分泌多种活性因子，动员骨髓中多种前体细胞进入末梢血循环，并可激活邻近及远处血管的内皮细胞表现出异常明显的增殖、迁移等一系列活跃的生物学行为(即内皮细胞的活化)、参与形成异常新生血管。因而准确检测外周血中ECs、特别是活化的ECs水平将有助于发现肿瘤新生血管形成，这不仅可预测疗效和预后，还可能帮助确定体内恶性肿瘤的负荷、临床分期和生物行为，早期发现微小转移瘤灶。目前，常用的血管内皮细胞标记包括CD31、CD144 、vWF因子等，而CD105、CD62 E、CD106则被认为是活化血管内皮标记。
