【Abstract】 AIM: To design and obtain novel rotavirus (RV) VP6 gene. METHODS: On the basis of our previous reports, RV VP6 gene was optimized through the gradual splicing method, according to the improved PCR strategy. RESULTS: The optimized cDNA sequence of RV VP6 gene was successfully synthesized, which was about 1220 bp and reached 55% in (G+C) content. CONCLUSION: The optimized RV VP6 gene was obviously increased about 20% in (G+C) content compared to wildtype RV VP6 gene. This study laid a further strong foundation for the development of novel oral rotavirus genetic engineering vaccine.
