ROLES OF COMPREHENSIBLE INPUT AND OUTPUT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS' COMMUNICATIVE COMPE-TENCE

[ABSTRACT]ObjectiveTo effectively develop the communicative competence of non-English-major college students. MethodsComprehensible input was integrated with output. Reading was applied to promote writing, and writing to promote rea-ding. ResultsThe communicative competence of the students improved noticeably. ConclusionThis new teaching method can be employed to enhance students' English communicative competence.
