【Abstract】 AIM: To observe the effects of shortterm infusion of recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide (rhBNP) on electrophysiologic parameters and hemodynamics in healthy rabbits. METHODS: In 12 healthy rabbits, hemodynamic and electrophysiologic parameters were assessed during infusion of rhBNP at 0.09μg/(kg·min).With monophasic action potential (MAP) recording technique, MAPs of epi, mid and endolayers of myocyte were recorded simultaneously by composite plungeneedle electrode across left ventricular wall. Curve of arterial blood pressure and left intraventricular pressure were recorded through common carotid arterial cannula. RESULTS: Infusion of rhBNP decreased hemodynamic parameters including SAP, DAP, mean arterial pressure(MAP) and LVEDP, LVSP (P<0.05);there were no significant changes in left ventricular pressure [ (±dp/dt)max]; there were no significant changes in electrophysiologic parameters including MAPs of epi, mid and endo myocardium and surface ECG variable. CONCLUSION: In healthy rabbits, shortterm infusion of rhBNP can change hemodynamic parameters but has no significant effects on electrophysiologic parameters. ......
