     DNA chip analysis of signal transduction genes in human urinary bladder transitional cell carcinoma

    ABSTRACT: Objective To investigate the change of signal transduction genes in human transitional cell carcinoma (TCC). Methods DNA chip was used to detect the mRNA from 11 human transitional cell carcinoma tissues and to investigate the genes related to signal transduction. Results Contrast to normal bladder mucous membrane tissues, there were 189 differentially expressed genes, in which 102 genes were obviously upregulated and 87 genes were obviously downregulated in human TCC tissues. There were 35 differentially expressed genes related to signal transduction, in which 13 genes were obviously upregulated and 22 genes were obviously downregulated. Conclusion Many differentially expressed genes related to signal transduction play a role in the development of bladder transitional cell carcinoma. ......
