【Abstract】AIM: To study the localization and distribution of luteinizing hormone (LH) and its receptor (LHR) in human endometrial cancer of various differentiation grades. METHODS: LH and its receptor were detected in 15 endometrial cancers by immunohistochemical methods(HE staining, SABC). RESULTS: LH and its receptor had the same distribution pattern in the tissues of endometrial cancer. The positive signals were mainly located in the membrane and the cytoplasm of adenocarcinoma cells, but not in the nuclei. The positive intensity was also gradually increased along with the differentiation from low to highgrade adenocarcinoma (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: The endometrioid adenocarcinoma cells may not only produce LH but express HLR. Their expressions are associated with the differentiation grades of human endometrial cancer. ......
