     Naftopidil combined with Tolterodine Tartrate in the treatment of female overactive bladder

    ABSTRACT: Objective To evaluate naftopidil and tolterodine tartrate in the reatment of patients with female overactive bladder (OAB). Methods Thirtyone female patients suffering from overactive bladder were treated with naftopidil tablet and tolterodine tartrate for 4 weeks. The effects were evaluated mainly with urodynamic data, including maximum flow rate(Qmax), average flow rate(Qave), voiding volume(VV), female urethral syndrome score (FUSS) and quality of life (QOL). Results Urodynamic data (Qmax, Qave,VV) increased, while FUSS decreased significantly after 4 weeks treatment. There was statistically significant difference of urodynamics data, FUSS and QOL before and after treatment (P<0.01 or P<0.05). The total effective rate was 83.88%. Conclusion Naftopidil and tolterodine tartrate could be an effective therapeutic method for patients with OAB. ......
