Construction of information platform for evidenceª²based medicine in inflammatory bowel disease

    ¡¾Abstract¡¿ AIM: To set up an information platform for evidenceª²based medicine in inflammatory bowel disease so as to offer the convenience for the medical staff to obtain the most useful information for clinical practice. METHODS: A special information platform was designed and constructed by fully utilizing the resources of Internet, SQL Server 2000 database technologies and ASP (Active Server Pages). RESULTS: The information platform was successfully constructed and operated smoothly. It has supplied the clinical doctors with the rapidlyª²available information on diagnosis and research in the field of inflammatory bowel disease. CONCLUSION: We has successfully provided information services for clinical work based on evidenceª²based medicine and solved the problems and difficulties of medical staff and enabled them to acquire more effective scientific evidence for clinical application, thus promoting the development of clinical medicine. ......
