眼视光学杂志990431 ’99全国眼视光学学术会议期间，国际隐形眼镜教育者学会(IACLE)和国际眼睛保健教育中心(ICEE)在温州医学院分别召开了1999年度中国隐形眼镜教育者会议暨培训课程和第2期中国教育者老视教育课程(EPEP)。
本次会议由国际隐形眼镜教育者学会、国际眼睛保健教育中心和中华医学会眼视光学组共同主办，来自加拿大滑铁卢大学的IACLE全球副主席Desmond Fom教授、IACLE及ICEE国际教育部主任Sylvie Sulaiman、新南威尔士大学眼镜技术教研组首席教师David Wilson等专家为66位从事教育、临床和科研的眼睛保健和隐形眼镜工作者作了有关隐形眼镜和角膜、老视和渐进多焦点镜片最新研究进展的学术报告，并对硬性透氧性隐形眼镜(RGP)、散光隐形眼镜和渐进多焦点镜片的临床验配作了实践指导。会议的另一主题是讨论如何有效开发、利用国际教育资源，促进中国隐形眼镜和眼睛保健的教育、科研和临床水平的提高。与会者各抒己见、畅所欲言，共商中国眼睛保健教育事业发展大计。
本次会议是今年6月国际隐形眼镜教育者学会、国际眼睛保健教育中心与温州医学院联手，建立IALCE暨ICEE中国事务办公室以后举办的第一次全国性的眼睛保健和隐形叟镜教育者会议。作为国际眼睛保健产品工业界合作伙伴，博士伦、强生、依视路、视康、眼力健的代表也列席了会议。

IACLE & ICEE hosted China educators meetings
and training courses in Wenzhou
IACLE and ICEE held their China educators meetings and training courses on 19 Nov and 21～23 Nov,1999 respectively in Wenzhou,in conjunction with '99 China Optometry Academic Conference sponsored by China Optometry Association.
The distinguished executives,Prof.Desmond Fonn,IACLE Vice President,Sylvie Sulaiman,IACLE Director of Education,David Wilson,Head Teacher of Clinical Technology,NSW,gave their impressive presentations on the latest development of the research and education of contact lens,cornea,presbyopia and progressive addition lens.66 optometry educators from 45 institutes who were engaged in full time or part time contact lens and presbyopia correction education were present.The industry representatives from Bausch & Lomb,Johnson & Johnson,Essilor,Ciba Vision and Allergan were also involved in the meetings.
