On Integrating Hangzhou Leisure Tourism into International
Practice: Problems and SuggestionsSONG Guo-qin, ZHENG Sheng-hua

Abstract: In the process of internationalizing its leisure tourism industry, Hangzhou still faces such problems as no worldwide fame, no free entry to this city, poor inadaptability of its specialties and insufficient service facilities. In order to enable Hangzhou to follow international practice, the authors of this paper suggest that modern leisure idea be pushed, various resources available integrated, specialties further developed, the strategy of brand image implemented and marketing promoted. Attempts should also be made to perform publish relations exercise, strengthen the management of leisure tourism, introduce and train professionals in the international leisure tourism field and create a good socially-supported environment.
