【摘要】随着护理学科的发展，医学模式的转变，护士的角色及功能范围不断扩大及延伸，现代护理已从医院扩大到社区，从病症护理扩大到预防保健，从生理护理扩大到心理护理，这就对护理服务的需求标准也不断提高，护理人员既要有扎实的理论基础，精湛的护理技术，还要掌握自然、人文、社会科学知识，同时还要掌握专业发展及新兴的科学发展动态，以提高自身素质。护士素质的提高，既要有思想素质、业务素质、心理素质、语言、性格、道德等诸多素质，只有全面的提高护士素质，才能满足患者对健康的需求，起到促进健康的作用。
