由于星状神经节周围重要的组织、器官多，穿刺过程中易误伤周围血管或神经，且颈部血运丰富，穿刺或注药过程中易出血，导致局麻药中毒，因此在星状神经节阻滞时要注意：①进针深度不超过横突，以免损伤或刺入椎动脉。②一定向外牵开颈总动脉鞘，以免刺伤颈总动脉鞘内的结构。③针不要偏向足侧，以免刺伤胸膜顶和肺尖，④针不要向中线偏斜，以免误入神经根，注药前和注药中要回抽并固定好针。在治疗过程中，由于我们严格遵循操作规程及合理控制药物剂量，未见明显的副作用出现。
我们的观察结果表明，星状神经节阻滞是一种治疗失眠的行之有效的方法。
