【摘 要】 目的:估计某地女性性服务工作者的基数，为评估该地性病和艾滋病流行状况及制定防控策略提供依据。方法:采用乘数法，分别选取3个片区的性病门诊为目标机构，收集特定时间内接触这3个机构的暗娼数(r)；分层抽样调查363名暗娼中特定时间内接触这3个机构的比例，取其倒数(m)，用r×m估计该地暗娼基数。结果:3个片区的暗娼估计数分别为13957、11652和12567人，地区合计暗娼估计数为38176人。结论：用乘数法估计暗娼基数简便、可行。

    Estimates on the number of female sex workers in certain area

    【Abstract】 Objectives: To estimate the number of female sex workers in certain area and to provide some references for the prevention and control of AIDS and other venereal diseases in this area. Methods: Multiplication method was applied. Venereal disease clinics in three districts of this area were designated as the target agency. The prostitutes accessing the three clinics during certain period were counted (the number is designated as r), and then a sample of 363 prostitutes were chosen to count the number of these people who visited the three clinics during certain period (the reciprocal of the number is designated as m). Estimates of the number of sex workers in this area were calculated by r×m. Results: The estimates of the number of sex workers in the three districts were 13957, 11652, 12567 respectively, with the total of 38176 for the whole area. Conclusion: Multiplication method is convenient and feasible in estimating the number of sex workers. ......
