然而，任何简单的行为背后都不只是由单一因素所决定。因此，女性的性活动可能同时受以上多个因素的共同作用而影响的，且这些因素还可能直接存在交互作用。以往的研究结果对女性性唤起障碍的治疗具有重要的指导意义。随着现代医疗技术的发展，对性唤起障碍的治疗越来越成熟，但主要是集中在药物治疗。而研究结果已表明，对女性性唤起的治疗应该从问题根据着手，特别要注意重视对影响女性性唤起的社会心理因素进行调节和控制。
